Houston, MO---Descendants of Oscar and Lottie Douglas gathered at the Oak Hill Christian Church on Saturday August 19, 2000. A display of Douglas family memorabilia, old and new pictures, a piano concert by Donna Farmer playing sheet music belonging to Lottie Douglas, Bertha Britzman and Jessie Hoeck, singing hymns, door prizes and a bountiful potluck were some of the activities of the day. The family group also met together on Friday evening for dinner and fellowship in Cabool at the home Margaret Walls, oldest daughter of Oscar and Lottie Douglas. Oscar and Lottie Douglas lived in the White Rock community. Their seven children attended White Rock and Houston schools. Oscar and Lottie were married for 64 years. Oscar died in 1978 and Lottie in 1993. They were respected farmers who worked hard and took great pride in their family, community and church. Family members attending were: Cecil Douglas; Joe and Linda Douglas; Bryan, Kim and Alycie Douglas; David, Clarissa, Bronwyn, Kyra and Morgan Douglas; Sarah, Jay, Doug, Mary and Julia Ostler all of the Salt Lake City, Utah area. Lois (Douglas) Steele of Phoenix, Bob Steele of Flagstaff and Claudia and Tony Bourdon, Cathie, David, Tim and Lily Watters of Mesa, Arizona. Mary Watters and Rosemary Irvin of Salt Lake City, Utah. Gladys and Warren Criss of Seattle, Washington, Marvin Douglas of Ft. Myers, Florida and Carolyn Dayringer of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Missouri relatives attending were: Evelyn and Galen Hickerson of Tunis; Annette, Anndy and Haley of Mansfield. Those attending from Cabool were: Margaret and Lloyd Walls, Keith and Rosemary Walls; Dearl and Doug Walls, Carolyn and Garry Brandt; LeRoy and Paula Walls, Lora, Austin and Alex Noll; Sarah, James, Ashlyn, Jordan and Travis Montgomery; Donna and Jerry Farmer; Glen, Cleea, Paige and Crystal Walls. Houston area family members included Leland and Ruby Douglas; Cathy, Ryan and Adam Sirdoreous; Walter and Laveda Douglas; Marilyn and John Malam; Lynette Malam; Rita, Garry, Sara and Tara Jensen; A.J.
